Popular film and TV actor Gurmeet Choudhary recently revealed that he had turned down a filmmaker’s offer, after which he threatened to end his career. According to Gurmeet, that filmmaker had told him that he would not let him work in films.

Gurmeet Chaudhary started his acting career in TV shows. He got popularity from house to house with the character of Lord Ram played in ‘Ramayan’. After this Gurmeet did some more TV shows and then entered films. However, his journey till here was not easy.

Director said – I will not give you any film
In an interview to radio host Siddharth Kanan, Gurmeet Choudhary referred to the incident when a director threatened to ruin his career. Gurmeet said, ‘When I entered films, I was a good director, a big director. He called at home and gave me narration. New movie, didn’t understand. It happens in today’s time that if you do not understand the film, then you can refuse and speak. When I refused, he said that I will not let you do any film.

‘She said never let me work’
Gurmeet further said, ‘I was shocked that what is this! It happens that the actor reads the script and you think that man, you will do it or not. But I was told this, and he stood up and told me that he would never let me work. How did you refuse my film? Do you think my film is dirty?

TV debut in 2009, Bollywood entry in 2015
Gurmeet Chaudhary stepped into Bollywood in the year 2015 after starting his acting career from TV in the year 2009. He appeared in films like ‘Khamoshiyan’, ‘Mr X’, ‘Wajah Tum Ho’, ‘Lali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddu Deewana’ and ‘Paltan’. Gurmeet also did a few reality shows, including ‘Nach Baliye 6’, ‘Box Cricket League’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 5’. He also appeared in some music videos.
