Srinagar recorded the coldest night with a temperature of 0.1 degree

Srinagar: The Meteorological Department said on Saturday that Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season so far at 0.1 degree Celsius. The temperature in Drass city of Ladakh was minus 12.7 degrees Celsius. An official of the department said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar was 0.7 degrees Celsius on Friday, but today it dropped to 0.1 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 3.5 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 0.2 degrees Celsius.

Apart from Drass being the coldest in Ladakh, Leh recorded minus 9.6 degrees Celsius and Kargil minus 6.4 degrees Celsius.

According to the official, the lowest temperature in Jammu city was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 11.2 degrees Celsius, Batote 6.0 degrees, Banihal 2.0 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 2.9 degrees Celsius.

He also said that the weather is likely to remain dry till November 19 and night temperatures are likely to drop further during this period.
