The Indian team has played two matches so far on the South Africa tour and during these two matches, only Indian coach Rahul Dravid or KL Rahul has interacted with the media. Kohli’s absence from the press conference on the South African tour so far has surprised even his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma.

Rajkumar Sharma said, ‘I do not understand the reason for this. It seems that BCCI may have made some new rules about who will address or the media manager may have been given more powers to decide whether the captain will go or not. There must have been some reason for the captain not to appear in the press conferences before and after both the matches in South Africa.
