New Delhi: The central government on Monday said that no time frame has been fixed for operationalization of COVID vaccination centers in states and session timings are subject to demand and requirements. The government has said that the timing of operation of the Kovid Vaccination Center can be changed and it can be extended till 10 pm depending on the availability of infrastructure.
In a letter to all the States and Union Territories, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Manohar Agnani has told the States and UTs that the timing of the session is subject to the demand and requirements of a particular COVID Vaccination Centre.
Noting that the population eligible for vaccines now includes 18 years, 15 to above 18 years and healthcare workers, frontline workers and the precautionary dose for those over 60 with comorbidities. Dr Agnani said that an information has been received about this that people have made an assumption about the time that vaccines can be administered at the Vaccine Center only from 8 am to 8 pm.
The ministry said, “The timing of the session is subject to the demand and requirements of a particular COVID immunization centre. In case of increasing demand, it is advised that multiple teams may be arranged at each immunization center to meet the requirement.” Is.”
