Samsung shuts down Tizen App Store for new, existing users

Seoul: Samsung has closed its Tizen App Store for both its new and existing users. As per a GSMArena report, the company has closed the registrations and made the store available only to existing users and they can only access the pre-downloaded apps.

After December 31, 2021, the Tizen App Store was permanently shut down and Samsung Z series smartphone users were suggested to switch to Android or iOS.

Despite completely switching to Android for their phones and Wear OS for their smartwatches, Samsung recently unveiled their new smart TVs and they’re still running Tizen OS.

Tizen OS for Smart TV is quite feature-rich and provides a collection of all the popular audio and video streaming services.

It also integrates gaming features like Samsung Health, SmartThings, Samsung TV Plus and many more.
