New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give seven days’ leave along with a cut in the salary of government employees if they are infected with the corona virus. In addition, the state government has reduced the attendance of employees in government and private offices by up to 50%.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the offices to encourage work from home culture due to the increasing cases of corona virus. The CM said that COVID-19 help desks should be set up in all offices and no one should be allowed inside the premises without screening.

Giving information, the Chief Minister’s Office of Uttar Pradesh said, “To prevent the spread of corona virus, the CM has directed the officers to implement 50% attendance of employees in both government and private offices except essential service departments, and home work should be encouraged.”

In addition, online appointments should be made for OPDs in both private and government hospitals and in special cases the patient should be called to the hospital. The CM has asked the hospital to increase ‘teleconsultation’.

The UP CM also said that efforts should be made to achieve 100% vaccination against Kovid-19 before the assembly elections. Voting for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will begin in seven phases from February 10. Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases on 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

On Monday, 8,334 new Kovid-19 cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh and 335 were cured and four people died. The active caseload of the state is 3,946. Of the 8,334 new cases, the most were reported in Ghaziabad (1,385), followed by Gautam Buddh Nagar (1,223), Lucknow (1,114) and Meerut (1,071).
