IIT JAM 2022 Admit Card: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has released the admit cards for the Joint Entrance Examination for Master (JAM) 2022. The candidates who appeared for the exam will visit the official website of IIT JAM jam.iitr.ac.in and download your respective admit card.

Earlier the admit card was supposed to release on 04 January 2022, but this date was now extended. Candidates are advised to check the complete details after downloading the exam hall ticket. This year IIT JAM 2022 exam (IIT JAM 2022) is going to be conducted on 13 February 2022.

paper pattern

The duration of the exam will be of three hours for all the exam papers. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections; A, B and C. All sections are compulsory.

In Section A, there will be 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 10 questions carrying one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ provides four options out of which only one is the correct answer. Candidates can mark their choice by clicking it.

In Section B, there will be 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Every MSQ is the same. Each MSQ is similar to an MCQ, with the exception that the MSQ may include one or more of the given four correct options. Full credit is given to the candidate only if he/she selects all the correct answers. Candidates can mark the correct answer(s) by clicking on the appropriate option(s).

In Section C, there will be a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions consisting of 10 one-mark questions and 10 two-mark questions. The response to NAT queries is a signed real number that must be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. For NAT questions, no option will be displayed.

Sections not to attempt questions will result in zero marks. Negative marks will be deducted for wrong answers in Section A (MCQs). For every wrong answer to a question of one mark, 1/3rd of the mark will be deducted, and for every wrong answer to a question of two marks, marks will be deducted. There is no negative or partial marking provision in Section-B (MSQ). There is also no negative marking in Section-C (NAT).

An alternative is to use an online virtual calculator. Candidates are not allowed to bring their own calculators.

About the JAM

JAM is an all India level exam jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science across the country. The Joint Entrance Examination for MSc (JAM) is conducted for admission to MSc (two-year), combined MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD dual degree and other postgraduate degree programs at IITs and integrated PhD programs at IISc.

The JAM eligibility test is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the Ministry in eight regions across the country. .
