Mumbai. The Hindi version of South’s superstar Allu Arjun’s pan India film ‘Alla Vaikunthpurmulu’ was scheduled to release on the big screen on 26 January. But now reports are coming that its theatrical release has been pushed and as per new reports, this 2020 Telugu action drama will not release on the big screen on 26th January.
A source close to the film said, “Currently, the release of the film in Hindi version has been pushed in view of the increasing cases of Kovid. Also, with ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ still running successfully in theaters across the country, it would not be a wise decision to present another Allu Arjun film in theaters at the same time. Interestingly, despite ‘Pushpa’ releasing on OTT, people are still flocking to the theaters to witness the magic of their favorite superstar on the big screen.”
With a record collection of over Rs 300 crore at the box office and close to Rs 90 crore by its Hindi version, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is all set to break into the record books. Pushpa’s dream-run at the ticket counters across the globe has surprisingly crossed the box-office collections of the biggest hits of various language industries. Due to which it has become a new box office record for Allu Arjun.
After extending the film’s theatrical run and receiving an amazing response at the box office, the Hindi version now made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video last week. It is no surprise that the film has created a buzz in the digital world since its launch and is expected to continue to do wonders. Apart from this, the possibilities of earning more of this film through the streaming platform have also increased.
