Sushant Singh Rajput made his mark with TV and left TV in 2013 to make a name in Bollywood. He once talked about his backup plan and what to do if he is not successful in signing a movie for his debut! He had said that he would make his own films and run a canteen at Film City in Mumbai. Will make a documentary on it and will also act in it himself.

Sushant died on 14 June 2020 at the age of 34. He was found dead at his home in Mumbai. 21 January i.e. today is his 36th birth anniversary. His last movie was ‘Dil Bechara’, which was released on the digital platform after his death.

Sushant gave an interview to Rediff.com in the year 2015. He had talked about moving from TV to Bollywood. He had said, ‘When I left television, people told me that you are doing a film making course, but what if you don’t get a film? I said that I would make my own films. I had decided that if that happened, I would start a canteen in Film City and buy a camera. I will make my own short film in the canteen and work in it myself. I know I will be as excited for it as I am now.

Elaborating on his decision, Sushant clarified that the idea of ​​the canteen was just to absorb the essence of Film City, which is at the heart of all things showbiz. He said, ‘That was not Plan B, it was to spend time in Film City, because I love Film City. This is the only place in Mumbai where everyone is shooting something or the other. That’s why I was considering opening a canteen there, so that I could eat there. I can enjoy watching the movie and can actually shoot my short movie. That’s why chose that place.

Sushant Singh Rajput got recognition from house to house with Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. He dated co-star Ankita Lokhande for many years, but later their ways parted.

Sushant made his Bollywood debut in the year 2013. His debut movie was ‘Kai Po Che’. After this he appeared in films like ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’, ‘Raabta’, ‘MS Dhoni’ and ‘Chhichhore’. After Sushant’s death, his film ‘Chhichhore’ won the National Award for Best Feature Movie.
