New Delhi: Political turmoil is in full swing regarding the assembly elections to be held in five states including Uttarakhand. All the parties are releasing the list of their respective candidates. In this episode, the Congress can announce the names of its candidates for the Uttarakhand assembly elections today.
It is being told that the Congress has finalized the names of more than 60 candidates, while the churning is still going on for five to seven tickets. According to the information, after the meeting of the Central Election Committee, the party will announce its candidates today.
The names of Congress State President Ganesh Godiyal and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat have also been told to be included in the first list. It is being told that Harish can contest from Rawat’s Didihat assembly seat. Many contenders have demanded Harish Rawat to be made the candidate from this seat.
Let us tell you, elections will be held on February 14 for 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand. According to the announcement of the Election Commission, elections will be held in a single phase in the state and counting of votes will be done on March 10. After which it will be clear that to which party the public has handed over the key to power this time.
Notification of nomination – January 21, date of filing nomination form – January 28, scrutiny of nomination papers – January 29, date of withdrawal of nomination – January 31. There are total 81 lakh 43 thousand 922 voters in Uttarakhand. There will be one polling station for every 692 voters in Uttarakhand. Counting of votes will be done on 10 March 2022.
