New Delhi: These days cold wave is going on in North India. Alam is that the mercury has dropped by several degrees. From the mountains to the plains, life has become disturbed. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (MID) has said in its forecast that the people of Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are not going to get relief from the cold at the moment.
The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in many areas of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand from today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in these areas on January 21, 22 and 23.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is going to be active over North India from today. The effect of which will last till January 23 and there will be rain. In this regard, the department has also issued a yellow alert on 22 January.
According to MID, very dense fog will remain in the morning and evening over Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. This may reduce visibility.
The period of continuous snowfall continues in the mountains. Due to this, there is no hope of relief from cold for the next five days from the uncontrollable cold. During this, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by two to four degrees Celsius in Northwest India due to the effect of fresh Western Disturbance.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and light snowfall in isolated parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of snowfall here on January 21 and 22.
