Washington: Worldwide, the cases of coronavirus have increased to 35.43 crores. So far more than 56 lakh people have died due to this epidemic, while more than 9.81 billion have been vaccinated. These figures have been shared by Johns Hopkins University. In its latest update on Tuesday morning, the university’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) reported that the current global cases, deaths and total number of immunizations have risen to 354,310,228, 5,603,714 and 9,818,992,958, respectively.
According to the CSSE, the US remains the worst-hit country with the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 71,645,863 and 868,420.
India is the second most affected country in cases of corona, where there are 39,543,328 cases of corona while 489,848 people have died, followed by Brazil with 24,054,405 cases of corona while 623,370 people have died.
According to CSSE data, other countries with more than 5 million cases are France (16,917,220), UK (15,966,838), Turkey (10,947,129), Russia (10,923,494), Italy (9,923,678), Spain (8,975,458), Germany (8,717,091), Argentina (7,862,536), Iran (6,250,490) and Colombia (5,740,179).
Countries that have crossed the 100,000-plus death toll include Russia (319,536), Mexico (303,085), Peru (204,141), UK (154,374), Indonesia (144,220), Italy (143,523), Colombia (132,240), Iran (132,230), France (130,013), Argentina (119,168), Germany (116,723), Ukraine (105,791) and Poland (103,844).
