The Union Budget will be presented on February 1 at 11 am. A day before this on January 31, President Ram Nath Kovind will address both the houses of Parliament. At the same time, in view of the COVID-19 guidelines, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will function at different times. The proceedings of the Lower House will run from 4 pm to 9 pm and the Rajya Sabha from 10 am to 3 pm. However, on January 31 and February 1, the timings for both the houses will be from 11 am.

According to sources, the first part of the budget session of Parliament will run from January 31 to February 11 and the second part of the budget session from March 14 to April 8. At the same time, before this, the Economic Survey will be presented in the afternoon on January 31.

Let us inform that India’s first full-time woman Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the financial year 2022-23 on 1 February. This will be his 10th budget since the Narendra Modi-led BJP government came to power in 2014. At the same time, this is going to be Sitharaman’s fourth budget since assuming the post of Finance Minister in 2019.
