BTS Jimin hospitalized for appendicitis with CACA-19. The singer and dancer has tested positive for coronavirus and also underwent surgery for appendicitis. Ouch!
According to ReutersJimin, whose full name is Park Ji-min, went to the hospital on Sunday after suffering sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat, Big Hit Music said in a statement.
The 26-year-old BTS singer tested positive for coronavirus, and underwent surgery for appendicitis on Monday, the statement added.
“The surgery was a success and Jimin is currently recovering from the procedure,” Big HIt Music said, adding that he was recovering quickly from his COVID-19 infection.
He will receive several days of treatment for Covid-19 along with post-operative care, the statement said. Jimin is at least the fourth member of the seven band members to test positive for CACA-19.
Rapper RM, vocalist Jin, and rapper Suga tested positive in December, shortly after the group had returned from a series of live performances in the US. The concerts in the States were BTS’s first in the nation since 2019, when they toured ASIA, Europe and North America.
