New Delhi: Hours before Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2022 in Parliament on Tuesday, Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad said the budget would be in favor of all sections of the society.
Addressing reporters, he said, “Today is a very auspicious day for the country. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget today. Whatever will be presented in the budget today, I will fully support it.”
Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad offered prayers before presenting the budget. “This budget will be beneficial for all sections of the society,” he said.
“PM Modi hopes that every group (be it the opposition or the ruling party) should sit together and listen to the presentation of the budget and cooperate,” he said.
Sitharaman is scheduled to present the Union Budget 2022 at 11 am today. The presentation of the budget will begin with the speech of the Finance Minister which is scheduled to take place at around 11 am.
The Budget Session of Parliament began on 31 January with President Ram Nath Kovind’s address. The first part of the budget session of Parliament will run from January 31 to February 11 and the second part from March 14 to April 8.
